Reggae Vibrations - Since 1957, WTJU / Charlottesville 91.1 FM has endured as the non-commercial voice of the University of Virginia and the Piedmont region. At the Controls as "Goldfinger" since 1992, his goal continues in spreading "Roots And Culture From 'Yard And Abroad". Alongside alternate DJ "Scottie B" (of the Afrikan Drum Festival), they continue to spin the insistent Blue Beat of Ska, the Cool Soul of Rock Steady, the most "rootical" Reggae and concious Dancehall. This website was selected as a TOP TEN Music site for 1998. For this project we focused on the creation of an identity that accentuates Jamacian music and culture that was both easy to navigate and and embraces the positive music being produced worldwide. We also, incorporated links to major record companies in this music genre. The colorful design was chosen for its appeal to people of all ages and backgrounds and fits within the reggae music genre, which comprises the target audience.
